Radiology Associates of Atlanta Turns Billing over to Experts at Zotec Partners

Combination of cutting-edge billing technology and expert billing staff enables group to secure collections into future

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zotec Partners, an industry leading provider of specialized medical billing and practice management services for the hospital-based specialty market, announces today that Radiology Associates of Atlanta, the exclusive provider of radiology services to Piedmont Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and The Doris Shaheen Breast Health Center, has selected the company as its exclusive billing services provider.

Radiology Associates of Atlanta also provides imaging and interventional expertise to patients at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center and Piedmont West Outpatient Center, and serves as a tertiary-care referral site for Piedmont Mountainside Piedmont Newnan Hospitals.

“The combination of Zotec Partners’ cutting-edge billing technology and expert billing staff will enable our group to secure our collections into the future,” said Dr. Robert Halper, MBA, FACR, president of Radiology Associates of Atlanta. “Zotec Partners’ technology is providing us enhanced access to information and superior reporting to better enable us to manage our practice.”

Medical Business Service, Inc., one of Florida's largest and most respected medical billing companies with a 50-year history of serving hospital-based practices, previously provided revenue cycle management services for Radiology Associates of Atlanta. Following a merger between MBS and Zotec Partners in September 2011, Radiology Associates of Atlanta is now migrating to Zotec Partners’ industry leading technology and specialized billing services.

“We’re eager to expand the use of Zotec Partners’ technology in providing service to Radiology Associates of Atlanta, which has been a long-term client for MBS,” said Tom Herald, partner of client services for Zotec Partners, and former CEO of Medical Business Service, Inc. “We look forward to helping the group continue to increase its profitability.”

Founded in 1969, Radiology Associates of Atlanta was established to be the exclusive provider of radiology services at Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital, a relationship that continues to thrive nearly half a century later. Since inception, the group’s growth has been driven by anticipation and response to patient needs and a commitment to excellence.

“Zotec Partners has the experience and expertise Radiology Associates of Atlanta needs to increase its income—regardless of the developments and changes in the healthcare world,” said T. Scott Law, president and CEO of Zotec Partners. “The combination of our experienced staff, cutting edge technology and commitment to service will result in the best reimbursement for the group.”
