ORANGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Deborah Proctor, president and CEO of St. Joseph Health System (SJHS), has been named to the 2011 “Top 25 Women in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare magazine, a leading source of U.S. healthcare business and policy news, research and information. The biennial awards program highlights female executives whose work has led to significant improvements in the healthcare industry and its ability to care for patients.
Recognized among an elite group of women healthcare leaders, Proctor earned the award for her successful leadership and management of SJHS, a $4.6 billion, integrated Catholic healthcare delivery system sponsored by the St. Joseph Health Ministry. She was also selected based on her abilities to effect change in the industry, serve as a mentor and model for other female executives, willingly share with others in her field and take on a leadership role outside her organization.
