Spacelabs Healthcare Launches Encore

High Performance Fetal/Maternal Monitor

ISSAQUAH, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Spacelabs Healthcare, a pioneer of patient monitoring & connectivity solutions, today announced the introduction of the Sonicaid Encore, a high performance fetal and maternal monitor that uses today’s most advanced technology for patient monitoring in labor and delivery.

“The labor and delivery environment can be stressful and situations can change rapidly,” said Nicholas Ong, President of Spacelabs Healthcare. “The Encore monitor delivers the high performance needed to provide continuous, reliable monitoring of both mother and fetus.”

Encore uses today’s most advanced ultrasound technology to enable clinicians to quickly and easily locate and track the fetal heartbeat, minimizing the need for direct fetal ECG monitoring. Further, the advanced design and high sensitivity of the toco transducer enable uterine activity monitoring for patients of all sizes, including those with high BMI, minimizing the need for intrauterine pressure monitoring.

As with other Spacelabs monitors Encore provides excellent connectivity. Both serial and LAN interfaces are available for most central recording and obstetrical data management systems.
