The pioneering RFID system leverages ThingMagic passive readers that read patient ID badges as they enter or leave specific areas. Reva Systems TAP technology then processes and interprets this information, determines patient location, and notifies AeroScout's MobileView software. MobileView acts as the solution's aggregation and information distribution point, associating each badge with a specific person, maintaining a rules-based event engine and sending alerts to the appropriate staff. RFID tag information also triggers patient room temperature preferences through Johnson Controls P2000 building management, and sends text notifications to Avaya Voice over IP phones, letting staff know, for example, that a patient is ready for treatment.
