Healthcare navigation company Quantum Health tapped Dayne Williams as its new CEO to replace Zane Burke, who is stepping down from the leadership post due to family health matters.
Williams was most recently the founder, CEO and executive chairman of PlanSource, a technology company that automates and simplifies benefit programs for over 5 million employees and helps employers better administer their health benefits.
Quantum Health, a 25-year-old company, offers a simplified navigation experience that connects member services, provider services and clinical care coordination in one place. Quantum Health serves more than 550 employer clients and supports over 3 million active members.

Burke served as CEO for three years "helping drive high growth, product innovation, and technology enhancements" at the company, Quantum Health executives said in a press release.
In a LinkedIn post, Burke said he made the difficult decision to step down as CEO of Quantum Health to focus on his mother's health journey. "This isn’t an easy choice, but I know it’s the right one. I also understand that I’m privileged to be able to do this," he wrote. "Once my mom’s journey is a bit more certain, I look forward to returning my focus to healthcare—specifically working on solutions that combine technology with a human touch to make a real impact."
Burke served as the CEO of Livongo for two years from 2018 to 2020, and he was the president of EHR company Cerner for 22 years. Cerner was acquired by Oracle in 2022.
“Quantum Health has long been recognized as the creator of the independent healthcare navigation market and continues to lead through ongoing innovation and consistently delivering industry-leading clinical and financial results for payers, self-insured employers and members. From the Fortune 500 to local small businesses, employers across the country count on Quantum Health to help successfully deploy health benefits and support their employees on their healthcare journeys. I am excited to join an amazing culture and strong leadership team as we enter this next stage of the company’s growth and continue to execute on our mission and vision,” Williams said in a statement.
Last year, Quantum Health signed more than 90 new employer clients to its healthcare navigation and care coordination platform, according to the company.
The company also launched its pharmacy navigation solution last year and expanded its comprehensive care solution platform.
"We are thrilled to have Dayne join Quantum Health as the use of independent navigation continues to be a primary focus for employers looking to address rising costs including pharmacy spend and to provide a better health benefit experience for both their employees and providers,” said Kara Trott, founder and board chair of Quantum Health, in a statement. “Dayne is a proven scaler of transformative companies and his expertise will expand our core solutions, ongoing use of new technologies like GenAI, and continue delivering leading ROI and outcomes.”
