Cureety acquires Reimagine Care for AI-driven precision oncology

Precision oncology care company Cureety announced Wednesday the acquisition of artificial intelligence-driven oncology care organization Reimagine Care.

Through the acquisition, the two companies now support more than 250 cancer centers—covering more than 100,000 patients—across five countries, according to the Sept. 2 announcement.

Cureety built its platform specifically for oncology, embedding therapy-specific monitoring and triage intelligence to help care teams identify potential deterioration and prioritize patients, while alleviating administrative burden through digital workflows. Reimagine Care, a 2025 Fierce 15 honoree, partners with health systems and providers to become an extension of the cancer center. Patients have access to a virtual care center and an AI-enabled virtual assistant, called Remi, for 24/7 triage and support. The company's platform provides 24/7 access to oncology-trained clinicians and can resolve 95% of patient needs virtually.

The acquisition comes as cancer treatments are becoming increasingly personalized and complex—more care is moving outside the hospital and oncology teams are supporting growing patient populations with limited clinical resources.

Reimagine Care CEO Dan Nardi told Fierce Healthcare in an emailed statement that the company has spent the last decade “making cancer treatment extraordinarily more sophisticated,” adding that a gap still exists in infrastructure surrounding treatments.

“That gap becomes harder to defend as therapies become more complex,” Nardi said. “If we know what treatment a patient is receiving and understand the risks associated with it, we should be able to recognize when something is changing and respond before that patient ends up in the emergency department or requires an unscheduled visit.”

Nardi said Cureety has “built deeply around the intelligence that connects the nuances of each patient's therapy.”

“Combining that with our ability to engage patients anywhere and at any time through an AI-powered care layer creates an opportunity to make continuous care much more clinically meaningful and scalable,” Nardi said.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Cureety COO Misha Kaur told Fierce Healthcare in an emailed statement that some of AI’s most high-value uses “may actually be quite unglamorous,” adding that examples include asking useful questions and recognizing changes from patient baselines.

“That is what is interesting about bringing in Reimagine Care’s AI capabilities with Cureety’s clinical rigor – the test is not whether AI can have an impressive conversation,” Kaur said. “It is whether the right human enters the conversation at the right moment with enough context to do something useful. Ultimately the goal is not to replace human care with technology, but to use technology to make human care more timely, informed and available when it matters.”

In May, Reimagine announced it would be expanding its AI-enabled virtual oncology care program with Moffitt Cancer Center.

During the initial implementation of the program, the model recorded nearly 7,000 patient interactions and 97% of which were independently resolved without escalation to providers. Moreover, 94% of symptom management situations were resolved virtually and only 2.4% of interactions resulted in emergency department referrals.
