Chevon Rariy, M.D., has been welcomed as chief health officer of value-based care oncology provider Oncology Care Partners.

Rariy will design oncology delivery systems utilizing both virtual and in-person care models while integrating artificial intelligence, digital transformation and emerging technologies to improve the treatment of cancer in Medicare Advantage patients. Oncology Care Partners currently claims three locations in Phoenix and Miami while providing round-the-clock connectivity through virtual means to patients.

In 2022, Rariy held the position of chief medical officer of clinical strategy at Amazon Care. Before joining the tech giant, she was vice president for enterprise virtual health at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, now City of Hope. Currently, she is also the board director at Boulder Care, an advisory council member at the American Telemedicine Association and a board observer at Oshi Health and Tele911.

Aaron Neinstein, M.D., has been tapped as chief medical officer at healthcare automation company Notable.

In the role, Neinstein will work to strengthen Notable’s product strategy to improve customer outcomes and prove the efficacy of AI and automation for patient care and care team satisfaction. He previously spent more than two decades as a physician executive in digital health and informatics, most recently as vice president of digital health at UCSF. In the role, he helped implement Epic electronic health record system into the provider’s workflow.

Neinstein is triple board certified in endocrinology, clinical informatics and internal medicine and has worked extensively in diabetes technology. He will continue working as a part-time clinical endocrinologist at UCSF where he focuses on diabetes care and holds a faculty appointment as associate professor. He is the co-founder of Tidepool, a nonprofit building tool for diabetes management.

Kate Behan, M.D., has been hired as chief medical officer at Arcadia, a data analytics company.

Behan will help apply a clinical perspective to the data company’s technology and service programs, including value-based care offerings, while also serving as an adviser to physician leaders at Arcadia’s client companies. She brings two decades of experience in clinical and leadership roles in academic, large health system and payer organizations.

Previously, Behan held the position of senior vice president and chief population health officer at Jefferson Health where she led the organization’s value-based care strategy and implementation. Her philosophy in the area revolves around the belief that holistic care models are rooted in technology.

Melinda Kimbro has been named chief people officer of Alignment Health.

Before joining the tech-enabled Medicare Advantage company, Kimbro spent 22 years at Viasat in various leadership roles such as head of human resource, senior vice president of people and chief people officer. During her tenure at the company, she helped grow the staff from 500 to 7,000 employees across 20 countries.

She will oversee all aspects of Alignment’s human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, culture and diversity and equity and inclusion. Kimbro has also held positions in organizational development for Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management, Qualcomm Personal Electronics and Sony Electronics.

> The American Academy of Physician Associates welcomed Jennifer Orozco as its first-ever chief medical officer.

> Sutter Health named two new hospital chief executive officers in the Bay Area: Hamila Kownacki as CEO of Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and Darian Harris as CEO of Sutter’s Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame and San Mateo, California.

> Vytalize Health, a provider enablement platform, added two new members to its board of directors: Dave Wichmann, former CEO of UnitedHealth Group, and Amy Compton-Phillips, M.D., previous president of clinical operations at Providence Health.

> Walgreens Boots Alliance appointed Tom Polen, president and CEO of Becton, Dickinson and Company, to the company’s board of directors.

> Savista, a healthcare revenue cycle management services company, hired Robert Barrett as vice president of sales in the Mid-Atlantic states and Brent Webster as vice president of sales in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

> The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America announced that Elizabeth Carpenter will join the organization as executive vice president for policy and research.

> CHG Healthcare, a physician staffing company, promoted Leslie Snavely to president of the organization.

> BabyRx, a wellness brand that provides fertility supplements, welcomed Carolyn Moyers as its medical expert.

> Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a provider of legal services to technology and life sciences companies, unveiled Meredith Krannich as a member of the firm’s executive advisory program.

> HealthTrackRx, a  diagnostic testing laboratory, sat Josh M. Berlin, CEO of rule of three, on its strategic advisory board.

> Apple Tree Partners announced that Matt Jacobson is joining as a venture partner.

> Chapters Health System, a hospice organization, nominated Tom Koutsoumpas to serve on its board of directors.

> Cancer Research Institute’s board of trustees elected Fern Lazar, managing partner and global health practice leader at FINN Partners.
