Tony Reed, M.D.
(Inspira Health)

Tony Reed, M.D., was named this week as SVP, chief quality and safety officer of New Jersey-based Inspira Health, effective Aug. 1.

Reed’s 22 years in healthcare as a clinician and educator has brought him across several organizations, including Christiana Care Health System, Delaware State University, The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health and AtlantiCare.

He most recently spent six years at Temple University Health System that, alongside an adjust professor gig at its medical school, culminated in a chief medical officer role for the academic provider.

His upcoming position will have Reed leading Inspira’s clinicians on patient safety and care quality, according to the nonprofit.

LaVonne E. Pulliam
(University Hospitals)

LaVonne E. Pulliam was appointed as chief compliance officer for University Hospitals, the Cleveland-based system said Tuesday.

Pulliam kicked off her legal career as an associate focused on acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures at Benesch Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff.

While she previously passed through University Hospitals as assistant general counsel, Pulliam most recently was senior director and lead legal counsel for Medtronic. That role had her providing guidance on Food and Drug Administration laws and regulations as well as heading compliance for multiple business units.

Pulliam’s appointment was effective June 30. The role was being filled in an interim capacity by Chief Legal Officer Harlin Adelman since earlier this year, when Valda Clark Christian departed the role for a new organization.

Jenny Carrillo
(LinkedIn)

Jenny Carrillo is joining digital fertility and family health company Ovia Health as chief growth officer and general manager, according to a Wednesday announcement.

Trained as a clinical psychologist, Carrillo has a wealth of research and strategic leadership experience under her belt via roles at McKinsey, Planned Parenthood and in academia.

She’s also no stranger to the digital health space. While most recently the chief sales officer for Vitality Group, she also held a vice president of growth position at PeerWell and nearly six years as a vice president at Amwell.

Ovia, a subsidiary of Labcorp since its acquisition last year, said Carrillo will be in charge of its commercial team and head its business relationships with plans and self-funded employers.  She will report to the company’s president, Pamela Abbott.

Providence announced a reorganization consisting of an unspecified number of leadership position cuts.

The system also consolidated its service regions and clinical service lines, naming Erik Wexler as chief operating officer overseeing three newly formed divisions and EVP David Kim, M.D., as the head of its clinical business lines.

Kevin Manemann, Joel Gilbertson and Guy Hudson, M.D., were named as the three division chief executives for the South, Central and North divisions, respectively.
