Cigna's Global Health Benefits unit is teaming up with Carrot Fertility to offer personalized support to members on the family planning and hormonal health journey.
Global Health Benefits offers coverage and solutions to organizations that have a "globally mobile" workforce, and the new program will be available at $0 to members and covered spouses or partners. The offering will be multilingual and provide individualized education, guidance and assistance to members.
Carrot's team will work with members to build a personalized care plan that includes access to more than 11,000 providers, agencies and attorneys across 170 countries to allow for services across borders.
Members will also be able to chat directly with clinicians and experts including doulas, OB-GYNs, emotional support experts and menopause specialists to answer questions and address concerns.
“Our collaboration with Carrot offers a holistic, personalized approach to help our globally mobile customers navigate fertility journeys from wherever they are in the world,” Global Health Benefits CEO Wendy Sherry said in a press release. “This program offers eligible GHB customers the information, expertise, and insights needed to support the full spectrum of their health and vitality through every fertility journey.”
Members will also be able to access educational videos and other materials authorize by experts whenever they need, according to the announcement.
Given that the target audience is a global one, the program is designed to ensure that members are able to make decisions about their care and fertility process no matter where they are based. It's designed to be culturally relevant and tailored to local norms and customs.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Global Health Benefits to deliver lifelong fertility support to their eligible globally mobile population, focused on improving access, experience, and outcomes for all who need it,” said Tammy Sun, founder and CEO of Carrot. “This collaboration will bring critical services and support to more people ranging from preconception through menopause.”
