UnitedHealthcare names Tim Noel CEO 

UnitedHealth Group has named a new CEO for its UnitedHealthcare division nearly two months after the murder of its previous chief executive.

The company said in a statement that Tim Noel, a longtime executive who led its Medicare division, will become CEO of the insurance segment. Noel has been with UnitedHealth Group since 2007, the company said.

"He brings unparalleled experience to this role with a proven track record and strong commitment to improving how health care works for consumers, physicians, employers, governments and our other partners," UnitedHealth Group said.


Carrot Fertility taps Hilary Bartlett as chief product officer

As chief product officer, Hilary Bartlett will oversee the product, engineering, payments and data teams and is responsible for Carrot Fertility’s overall product strategy, design and implementation. Bartlett has held several leadership roles at Carrot, most recently senior vice president of strategy. Bartlett’s career has spanned management consulting for life sciences companies, policy, law and healthcare. Bartlett is a graduate of Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Stanford University Law School.


Timothy Ferris joins Red Cell Partners

Timothy Ferris, the first national director of transformation at National Health Service England and former CEO of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, has joined Red Cell Partners as the president of its healthcare practice.

In his role, Ferris will oversee Red Cell’s healthcare strategy, incubations and investments. In addition to supporting existing founders of Red Cell incubations, he will also recruit and partner with entrepreneurs to create health tech businesses aimed at addressing some of healthcare’s biggest challenges.

Ferris replaces Naimish Patel, who now assumes the role of chief growth officer at the firm.


> Longitude Health appointed Brett Moraski as its interim CEO, following the passing of founding CEO Paul Mango. Moraski has served as the company’s chief financial officer since its founding.

> Victoria Coley is Arizona-based health insurer Banner|Aetna’s new CEO following the retirement of Tom Grote.

> Modern Health tapped Adam Brown as chief financial officer.

> President and CEO of Children’s Minnesota Marc Gorelick will retire in July 2025, the company announced.

> The American College of Physician Advisors selected Ahmed Abuabdou, M.D., as president-elect of the association.

> Christine Heid has been tapped as the nursing simulation specialist at UbiSim. The company also welcomed Marc Batchelor as its new VP of sales.

> Doc.com hired Ignacio Valencia as chief business development officer.

> GlucoTrack, a medical device company focused on diabetes care, announced that Ted Williams has been named vice president of regulatory affairs, effective immediately.

> Andrea Giamalva, M.D., has been tapped as the chief medical officer of Experity.

> Healthcare consulting firm Wakely tapped Kelsey Stevens, former principal at Wakely Consulting Group, as its CEO. Stevens succeeds Mary Hegemann, who was recently promoted to executive vice president at parent company HMA.

> Michael Genovese, M.D., has been tapped as the chief medical officer of behavioral health at Access TeleCare.

> The Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) announced that Leanne Berge, CEO of Community Health Plans of Washington, has been elected as chair of ACAP’s board of directors.

> Stephen Montalto has been hired as the SVP of finance at healthcare staffing marketplace CareRev. The company also tapped Larry Adams as chief nurse executive and SVP of strategy.

> Chris Freeman was named strategic adviser to gastrointestinal health company Cyted Health.

> Debra Morris, president of AccessHope, has joined the board of directors at Progyny, which designs fertility, family building and women’s reproductive health benefits.
