OptumRx’s Specialty Pharmacy program provides members with comprehensive and coordinated delivery and support services for high-cost oral or injectable medications, which are used to treat complex chronic conditions. The program offers high-touch patient care management to control side effects; patient support and education to ensure compliance; continued treatment analysis; and specialized handling and distribution of medications sent directly to patients or their health care provider.
