Humana to Offer Medicare Prescription Drug, Health Plans at Select Walgreens in Florida

(NYSE: HUM), one of Florida’s leading health care companies with nearly 600,000 Medicare members statewide, will collaborate with Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (Nasdaq: WAG) during the upcoming Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP) – Oct. 15 through Dec. 7 – to staff nearly 100 Walgreens locations in Florida and more than 50 Walgreens, in Puerto Rico with Humana Medicare sales representatives.
During this fall’s Medicare enrollment period, Humana career sales agents will provide Florida and Puerto Rico beneficiaries with information on Medicare Advantage health plans and Prescription Drug Plans, including the Humana Enhanced Prescription Drug Plan.
The Humana Enhanced Prescription Drug Plan now includes Walgreens as part of its preferred pharmacy network, which offers more savings opportunities for Medicare beneficiaries who select the plan and use Walgreens pharmacies.
