Humana Military Healthcare Services’ Ray Pryor named ‘Chief Financial Officer of the Year’ by Louisville Business First

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Humana Military Healthcare Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana Inc (NYSE: HUM), is pleased to announce its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Raymond S. Pryor, Jr., was named ‘Chief Financial Officer of the Year’ by Louisville Business First during an awards ceremony June 23, 2011 at the Henry Clay in Louisville. The ‘Chief Financial Officer of the Year’ award recognizes those CFOs who exemplify excellence in leadership, professionalism, and business development.

As Humana Military’s CFO, Pryor played a pivotal role in a bidding strategy which secured a five-year contract to administer health benefits for uniformed personnel, retirees, and their families under the TRICARE program in southern United States.

Pryor was one of three finalists for this award. He has been a principal member of the senior leadership of Humana Military since its inception in 1993, serving as CFO since 1994. Pryor is ultimately responsible for Humana Military’s financial performance and long-term fiscal strength, overseeing all financial management, accounting, actuarial, contract administration, resource sharing, and claims oversight activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Louisville and is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Executive Education program. Pryor also served in the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Sergeant.
