HealthHelp has announced plans to attend the 28 Annual California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) Conference. The event will be held in Huntington Beach, California, October 21 - 23, 2013. Over 700 professionals will attend the conference to discuss a variety of issues, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its impact on California starting January 1, 2014.

HealthHelp supports CAHP’s mission, which is focused on providing members with resources that assist with maintaining viability and growth while providing high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare. The annual conference supports this mission through education and tools designed to assist attendees.

This year’s program will include insightful observations on healthcare trends in the country and California, net trends in telehealth, cancer diagnosis treatment, workforce expansion, and upcoming ACA changes. The event will also feature a candid Q&A with key state regulators, and legal seminars on major health issues impacting health plan operations.

Many health plans are planning to attend the event, including Aetna Health of California, CalOptima, CenCal HealthHelp, L.A. Care Health Plan, Cigna Healthcare of California, among many others.

HealthHelp understands the healthcare industry changes for the state of California, and is sending Vice President of Development, Donna Baker-Miller, along with Chris Sullivan, Director of Strategy and Development to discuss the changes and network with healthcare providers.

The company is excited to attend the event, and continue their support of CAHP as they provide valuable education on the upcoming changes affecting the California healthcare market.
