Exchange enrollment exceeds expectations in 22 states

Health exchange enrollment exceeded 100 percent of projections in almost half of states, finds a new analysis from consulting firm Avalere Health. The surge in sign-ups during March and early April led exchanges to meet or exceed enrollment expectations in 22 states. Avalere compared exchange participation at the end of open enrollment to state projections based on Congressional Budget Office enrollment estimates--Avalere found that Florida, California, Idaho and Washington led the pack with actual enrollment numbers more than 160 percent above expectations.
