AmeriHealth NJ announced today that it has reached an agreement on a new, three-year contract with Radiology Consultants of New Jersey (RADCON), effective July 2012. The agreement includes an innovative quality initiative to improve the overall quality of patient care, by making health care more patient-centered, reliable, accessible and safe.
RADCON, a regional leader in diagnostic imaging, provides high-quality, cost-effective diagnostic imaging services through a network of 263 radiology providers in 46 imaging centers within the southern New Jersey geographic areas of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem counties.
Under the agreement, the RADCON network will share information that will improve quality of care through the establishment of goals, benchmarks and a series of quality metrics.
