Vitera Healthcare Solutions, the nation’s premier provider of ambulatory electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software and services, announced today that it has completed the first of three waves of Stage 2 Meaningful Use certification for its Intergy EHR solution.

Vitera Intergy EHR will be fully certified and ready in Q4 2013 to help physicians grow revenue by qualifying them for Stage 2 Meaningful Use incentive payments.

To date, Vitera has helped over 4,100 eligible medical professionals secure more than $85 million in Stage 1 Meaningful Use incentive payments. Providers can attest for Stage 2 requirements in 2014.

“As our customers should expect, they will be well prepared for the 2014 Stage 2 provider attestation period using Vitera Intergy EHR,” said Matthew Hawkins, CEO of Vitera Healthcare Solutions. “Current and prospective customers can be confident that Vitera provides tools to consistently improve practice performance and patient outcomes —especially as they prepare for many regulatory and reimbursement changes ahead.”

Vitera Intergy EHR was tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. It successfully attested for 26 of the 43 criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Meaningful Use Stage 2.

When benchmarking for usability, representative users of Vitera Intergy EHR were impressed or particularly satisfied with the product’s ease of use.

Healthcare providers using certified EHR technology are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology—a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
