Practicing internist and pediatrician brings expertise in healthcare, data integrity and VA implementation
SYRACUSE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Systems Made Simple, Inc. (SMS), a leading provider of IT systems and services to support critical architecture, data and application challenges in the healthcare industry, today announced Viet Nguyen, MD, as SMS’ Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). As CMIO, Dr. Nguyen will work with SMS towards the common goal of improving continuity of care and patient safety through integrated technology.

- Serving as an expert and thought leader on improving patient treatment and safety through technology;
- Ensuring SMS technologies set optimal health standards in order to achieve true interoperability; and
- Engaging with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD) and other healthcare leaders to further develop solutions.

Dr. Nguyen is currently a practicing internist and pediatrician at Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Associates, PLLC.
