Vibra Healthcare Chooses PatientKeeper to Streamline Physician Workflow and Enhance Physician Satisfaction at Long Term Ac

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PatientKeeper® Inc., the leading provider of physician healthcare information systems, today announced that Vibra Healthcare, LLC, a national specialty healthcare provider, has purchased multiple PatientKeeper software modules to improve physicians’ access to patient information and streamline documentation processes at its long term acute care hospitals nationwide.

Vibra Healthcare, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, anticipates that PatientKeeper’s clinical and physician documentation software products will enhance satisfaction among affiliated community physicians that practice at its facilities, some of whom already use PatientKeeper at other local hospitals where they practice.

Vibra will deploy the PatientKeeper Physician Portal™ and PatientKeeper Mobile Clinical Results™, to provide physicians with “anytime, anywhere” access to patient information through desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets; PatientKeeper NoteWriter™, for electronic physician documentation; and PatientKeeper Sign-Out and eSignature, to enhance communication among physicians and further streamline documentation.

PatientKeeper provides physicians with a single software environment to perform their daily work that streamlines workflow, saves physicians time, and drives voluntary physician adoption of technology. PatientKeeper provides a logical software layer that will sit on top of and integrate with Vibra Healthcare’s hospital information system (HIS).

PatientKeeper is designed as a physician-friendly “overlay” to an HIS, so hospitals can implement PatientKeeper without replacing any of their existing IT infrastructure. In addition to the cost and time-to-deploy advantages that stem from this technological approach, PatientKeeper’s intuitive solutions ultimately help improve the overall physician-to-patient care experience.

Marie Roof, Executive Vice President of Information Technology at Vibra Healthcare, said PatientKeeper was very well received by physicians at Vibra’s facilities who saw demonstrations. “They were extremely positive and excited because the electronic documentation workflow was consistent with the way they’re used to doing documentation,” Roof said. “And PatientKeeper will feed directly into our EMR, creating a ‘closed loop’ system that pulls and pushes information to the core HIS systems to ensure that all patient data automatically becomes part of the medical record.

“ROI for us is not measured in saving a few minutes here or there through technology,” Roof added. “It’s about ensuring our physicians the best work and patient care environment -- and PatientKeeper is helping us do that.”

The physicians at Vibra’s facilities also were impressed with PatientKeeper’s leadership in providing useful mobile healthcare applications to support their patient care activities from any location. PatientKeeper will enable physicians to view their patients’ clinical information on an iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry or Android device.

“Vibra Healthcare is driven by a desire to satisfy their physicians, which is precisely the philosophy behind everything PatientKeeper does,” said PatientKeeper president and CEO Paul Brient. “PatientKeeper enables physicians to focus their time and effort on caring for patients, rather than on ancillary administrative tasks. Hospitals that equip physicians in this way have a powerful competitive advantage.”
