WESTPORT, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Radisphere, the market leader in software-enabled physician services, today announced the results of its annual Radiologist Satisfaction Survey, which looked to gauge overall satisfaction and perspective regarding the company’s unique service delivery model, among its radiologists.
The survey found that radiologists value peer collaboration and feedback:
- 88% of respondents said that the ability to consult with other Radisphere radiologists is valuable
- 90% of respondents said that the Radisphere peer review process is helpful
“Radiology is becoming increasingly complex and specialized and a traditional, small group setting can be isolating for a radiologist. We have found that by encouraging and promoting collaboration amongst radiologists as well as providing feedback on discrepancies, the risk of diagnostic errors can be significantly reduced,” said Scott Seidelmann, CEO and President of Radisphere.
According to survey results, radiologists believe workflow technology improves their quality and productivity:
- 80% of respondents said Radisphere’s work management platform improves their productivity
- 82% of respondents said Radisphere’s diagnostic checklist improves the quality of their reports

The survey also probed to understand the overall satisfaction of Radisphere radiologists with the company. “Ultimately, the true testament to whether the radiologists enjoy working for Radisphere and feel that it is a good place to be, is to ask them if they would refer a friend,” stated Seidelmann. “The survey results speak for themselves – 92% of respondents said they would refer a colleague to work for Radisphere. The delivery model of radiology is changing and it is clear that radiologists are interested in these new models.”
The survey was conducted in July 2011, and garnered responses from 59 Radisphere radiologists. Respondents were based both in hospitals and in remote locations throughout the U.S., many with specialization or fellowship, in areas such as ED/Body, MSK and Neuro. Nearly half (44%) have been with Radisphere for four years or more.
