Numera Adds MEDgle Health Risk Assessments to Social Health Platform

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Numera and MEDgle have entered into a strategic agreement to offer MEDgle’s innovative health risk assessment tools, real-time analytics, and clinical decision support models within Numera Social’s social + mobile behavior change platform. The combination will provide feedback on an individual’s overall “fit score,” identify potential health risk factors, and suggest health improvement opportunities. The results can be used to suggest relevant activity-based plans from Numera Social’s plan marketplace, or the individual can develop their own plans and challenges based on the MEDgle assessments.

The Numera Social platform provides a dynamic, user-friendly experience where creating engaging health improvement plans is fun, individuals are given clear paths to reach their goals and are prompted to stay on track by creating plans and participating in challenges. Continued engagement is achieved by easily creating a supportive network of friends and family invited to join the plan via the participant’s current Facebook connections.

“Providing health assessment capabilities as part of the Numera Social personal health tool is key to driving engagement and personal accountability,” said Mark Oswald, Numera’s CTO and VP, Engineering. “A majority of people don’t realize they are overweight or pre-diabetic. But once they do acknowledge there is an issue, the tools to take action are right there, wherever they work, play or live.”

“Every decision starts with predicting its possible consequences. Furthermore, you can’t manage what you can’t predict,” said Ash Damle, CEO of MEDgle. “Real-time, understandable clinical prediction and assessment support is the key first step in empowering all of us in self-care and becoming truly participatory in our health and care. We help people put their health in perspective using over 130 million data points and real-time analytics.”
