Non-Profit Healthcare Organization in Pacific Northwest Will Use the Mobile Medical Carts to Remotely Connect Patients with Healthcare Providers in Hospitals and Clinics
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MultiCare Health System, the largest healthcare system in the South Puget Sound region of Washington State, has invested in GlobalMedia telemedicine solutions to connect patients in outlying areas to providers as part of four different telemedicine pilot programs at their hospitals and outlying clinical locations. Working with GlobalMedia-authorized reseller Right! Systems, Inc., based in Lacey, Washington, MultiCare purchased i8500™ Series Mobile Telemedicine Carts equipped with LifeSize® video-conferencing codecs, hardware devices that encode digital data and video streams. The mobile medical carts will be used in its Teleneurology pilot. The other three programs involved in pilot studies are Pediatrics, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound.
