Memorial Healthcare System in Florida Selects Meditab/SuiteMed as an Approved EHR Vendor

Over 1,800 affiliated MHS physicians are expected to participate in the adoption of EMR/EHR through MHS’ EHR Donation Program

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Meditab/SuiteMed, a leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Memorial Healthcare System, the fifth-largest public healthcare system in the nation, has selected Meditab/SuiteMed as one of the vendors to participate in Memorial Healthcare System’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) Donation Program. Memorial Healthcare System, a national leader in the adoption of healthcare IT across its network of six hospitals serving South Broward County, and as part of its continuing commitment to enable excellent quality care and services, will assist more than 1,800 affiliated physicians in the adoption of electronic medical records in their private practices through an EHR Donation Program.

Meditab/SuiteMed's IMS (Intelligent Medical Software) Ambulatory EHR will be made available to qualified affiliated MHS physicians in a program that will implement the Meditab/SuiteMed IMS EHR and connect to the Atlantic Coast Health Information Exchange (HIE). A fully connected MHS system would provide greater efficiencies in the delivery of care.

Meditab/SuiteMed’s IMS v.14 EHR, a CCHIT 2011 Certified Ambulatory EHR and 2011/2012 ONC-ATCB Certified EHR, qualifies its users for "Meaningful Use," allowing for the automation of everyday clinical functions such as ordering prescriptions, documenting patient visits, lab ordering, automating referrals, creating notes and tasks and much more in order to create immediate efficiencies in practice productivity. Deployed as either an on-premise or web-based Software as a Service (SaaS), Meditab/SuiteMed’s single database solution, IMS, stands out with local and personalized support while simplifying the process of implementing technology for physicians.

“Memorial Healthcare System is at the forefront of a national trend in the adoption of Electronic Health Records and the advancement of a connected health network,” states Mark Kozak, VP of Business Development of SuiteMed, "and Meditab/SuiteMed is truly excited to be a part of the Memorial Healthcare System’s initiative."
