Dean Swindle, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and T. Clifford Deveny, M.D., senior vice president, physician services and clinical integration.

These appointments are made in conjunction with the recent between MedSynergies and CHI to create a national physician services organization, CHI Physician Services, to serve CHI’s more than 2,900 providers. As part of the agreement, CHI invested $65 million to purchase a minority stake in MedSynergies. MedSynergies will use the investment to fund future growth and accelerate the development of CHI Physician Services, which will centralize physician services functions across CHI’s eight divisions.

“The addition of Dean and Dr. Deveny to MedSynergies’ board of directors is a huge asset to the company and our clients,” said J.R. Thomas, chief executive officer of MedSynergies. “We are fortunate to have a board with diverse and strong backgrounds in the areas of finance, information technology, and physician and hospital operations. This view is essential in shaping how we deliver our services today and build new solutions for the future.”

The new appointments of two CHI executives to the MedSynergies board of directors will continue to strengthen MedSynergies’ MSIGHT™ Solutions Suite, which facilitates the strategic alignment of hospitals and physicians while also delivering enhanced ambulatory data.
