LifeNexus, the creator of the iChip®, announced today that Ian Worden, CIO, will participate at the upcoming Western States Health-e Connection Summit and Trade Show in Phoenix, Arizona on September 10-11 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Mr. Worden will be a panelist on the topic of “Transforming Health Care Through Digital Patient Engagement” on September 11, 2013, at 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

“Improving patient engagement is a complex, multidisciplinary, multifunctional endeavor which leaves this critical issue ambiguous, fragmented and largely under-managed in most healthcare delivery systems,” says Mr. Worden. “This session provides an opportunity for healthcare leaders to participate in a discussion about the challenges, benefits and future of digital patient engagement.”

“Mr. Worden has strong expertise in the area of patient engagement and as the chief architect of the iChip, he has designed our LifeNexus product to address current consumer challenges in order to realize the significant benefits of patient engagement,” said David Strand, CEO. “We are pleased to have him participate in this panel to share his knowledge and experience on this important topic.”

The two-day event, exclusively for the Western region, will bring together over 300 health information technology (health IT) stakeholders to learn and network as well as impact their dynamic industry. The event is produced by Arizona Health-e Connection, an Arizona-based organization leading the state’s health IT activities, in collaboration with the American Medical Informatics Association, Arizona chapters of the American Health Information Management Association and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
