New Release Includes Robust Enhancement to Improve the Informed Consent Process
YARDLEY, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Krames Patient Education is excited to launch Krames Patient ConsentTM version 2 to better facilitate provider-patient communication that is at the core of the informed consent process.
The highlights of Krames Patient Consent v2 include a new editing tool allowing users to add their own custom consent forms and patient education to their Patient Consent library. The editing tool includes access to a Krames art database of over 6,000 images enabling clients to create illustrated patient education to improve patient comprehension of proposed procedures. Additionally, Krames Patient Consent v2 now includes Spanish consent forms and patient education.
“We launched Patient Consent last October and the market response was phenomenal,” explained Jean Neiner, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Krames. “As we implemented our initial clients, there was consensus among users that Patient Consent could provide a fuller solution if it included Spanish content as well as the ability to create forms for procedures not included in the Krames library. So we made it happen to better meet the needs of our clients and their patients.”
Krames Patient Consent is a web-based solution designed to improve the informed consent process by providing patients with consent forms written in plain language supplemented by illustrated patient education created in accordance to health literacy design principles. Krames Patient Consent helps to set clear expectations and an understanding of patient responsibilities which leads to improved safety, better outcomes, increased patient satisfaction and a decreased risk of litigation. The latest version of Krames Patient Consent includes consent forms and patient education for 200 of the most commonly performed procedures.
Krames Patient Consent v2 will be on display at Booth #101 at the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) Annual Conference and Exposition October 13 – 16 in Tampa, Florida.
