KLAS Recognizes Office Ally as One of the Nation’s Top Clearinghouses in the Medical Industry

Office Ally Achieves Highest Score in “Money’s Worth” and Scores Perfect 100 Percent in “Promise Keeping” in Study that Covers Service, Support and Claims Management Tools

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- KLAS, one of the best-known and most widely respected healthcare research firms, has rated Office Ally among the nation’s top clearinghouses in the medical industry. Office Ally earned a performance score of 92 points – the second highest of all firms surveyed nationwide – and is one of only two organizations ranked in the top ten whose one-year trend is pointed upward based on service and support as well as providing functionally strong claims management tools.

In preparing its just-released report – “Ambulatory Clearinghouse 2011: Dollars, Sense & 5010 Readiness” – KLAS spoke with 842 providers in an effort to understand how their clearinghouse services are performing, the quality of the tools given to them, and how providers are preparing for the 5010 migration. The report says that “In a market where all vendors maintain excellent standards in basic claims submission, the attributes that separate the best from the merely good revolve around service, vendor-provided claims management tools and clearinghouse specialization.”

“We are honored to receive this high ranking from KLAS and are grateful to our clients for the trust and confidence they have placed in us through the years,” said Brian O’Neill, president and chief executive officer of Office Ally. “We are especially happy that KLAS has recognized the efforts we put in place to constantly improve and to make sure that our provider clients are fully prepared for the latest requirements, such as the 5010 migration.”

The KLAS report notes that Office Ally was one of two companies – and the highest ranking of the two – to offer its services free to providers rather than relying on the typical model where the clearinghouse is compensated by both the provider and the payer. “In Office Ally’s case highly rated service is provided as well,” the report states. “Providers reported that these solutions are meeting and in some cases exceeding client expectations.”

To that point, in a side-by-side comparison, Office Ally was tied for the highest score – the highest of all surveyed companies relative to “money’s worth” and “real problem solving.” Office Ally was one of only two companies to attain a perfect 100 percent score in “keeps promises” in the area of service and support in addition to achieving a perfect 100 percent score in sales and contracting, as rated by providers. Also contributing to Office Ally’s overall high ranking was its above-average rating in online claims editing.
