SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- InTouch Technologies, Inc. (dba InTouch Health) and Platinum Training announced today that the companies entered into a Definitive Agreement to develop and co-market 2-way video collaboration and broadcast solutions for surgeon training and education to be sold through Platinum’s national network of surgical skills labs.
The first offerings of the partnership were incubated at Platinum’s MERIN lab in Henderson, Nevada leveraging InTouch Health’s custom-developed RP-Vantage™ telementoring system and SureCAST™ webcasting solution. (The RP-Vantage combines InTouch Health’s core Remote Presence technology with multiple camera “vantage points” tailored for surgical telementoring and remote procedure collaboration in operating and procedure rooms.) These offerings enable real-time virtual attendance and broadcasts to complement in-person medical education programs and include moderated interactive training programs, surgeon-to-surgeon lab collaboration and training, live remote lab observation, as well as lab session recording and postproduction.
