iMDsoft Demonstrates Seamless Integration at HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase™

MV-OR, the MetaVision Anesthesia Information Management System (AIMS), will exhibit its leading capabilities in a live, connected environment.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- iMDsoft®, a leading global provider of Clinical Information Systems, will demonstrate its interoperable standards-based technology solutions during the HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase at booth 11000 Hall G of the Venetian-Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from February 21st to 23rd. Held in collaboration with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), the showcase is part of the 2012 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition.

MV-OR®, the MetaVision® Anesthesia Information Management System (AIMS), has been implemented in leading hospitals and health networks all over the world, and has generated significant financial, operational and clinical returns for its users. MV-OR fully supports the perioperative workflow and documentation processes and generates a comprehensive anesthesia record, including accurate tracking of events, medications, and procedures. The system ensures that all anesthesia-related billable events are registered, maximizing both professional fee capture and hospital billing. MV-OR features powerful decision support tools which improve patient care via enforcement of internal protocols and regulatory guidelines at the point of care which can result in significant improvements in both financial and clinical results.

iMDsoft’s proactive approach to cross departmental system integration has led to successful seamless information exchange across departments, systems, and devices in leading hospitals all over the world. MetaVision supports communication protocols and standards such as HL7 and CCOW, and interfaces with a wide range of clinical and administrative Hospital Information Systems. MetaVision’s library of drivers covers over two hundred medical devices, including those most widely available on the market today, with additional drivers continually in development. iMDsoft’s integration expertise enables a “future proof” environment, capable of synthesizing current and future technology investments.

The Interoperability Showcase offers a series of events, activities and health IT solutions, including Community of Care tours. These tours enable healthcare providers challenged by barriers to health information exchange to connect with health IT software vendors, to view their products and discuss interoperability questions. Each use case tour will walk the attendee through the patient experience and display a seamless electronic exchange of patient information - application to application, system to system and setting to setting. iMDsoft will be presenting at Use Case #9, the OR space.

“iMDsoft is excited to participate in the HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase. We look forward to demonstrating our industry leading capabilities and our commitment to system integration and information exchange,” says Phyllis Gotlib, CEO, iMDsoft. “We will exhibit how MetaVision’s seamless integration enables hospitals to future-proof their IT strategy. Our products interoperate with a very wide range of technologies, helping healthcare providers to maximize their existing and future IT investments.”
