AUSTIN, Texas & NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Texas e-Health Alliance (TeHA) announced today that Informatics Corporation of America (ICA) chief executive officer, Gary Zegiestowsky, has been named to its board of directors. TeHA was established in 2009 to bring together healthcare industry leaders to promote public policy initiatives that support the adoption of health information technology and to ensure a well-coordinated e-health policy for the state of Texas. Current board members include executives from such companies as Accenture, AT&T, Availity, Axolotl, BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Cisco, CTG Health, Dell, e-MDs, Humana, IBM Healthcare & Life Sciences, Labcorp, MedPlus, OZ Systems, Round2, Sandlot and Verizon.

In addition to policy planning, TeHA works with the Texas Medical Association on provider education initiatives and is an active participant in the development of health information exchange planning and implementation with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Health Services Authority.
