New Compartment Houses Integrated Peripherals for Fully-Functional Telemedicine Equipment
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The SideCar™ is the latest innovation from GlobalMedia – the recognized leader in design-manufacturing for telemedicine equipment. The new compartment attached to the base expands the functionality of the Polycom® Practitioner Cart™, while maintaining the overall Polycom design.
One SideCar provides an accessible enclosure for GlobalMedia’s TotalENT™ camera and illumination device for an otoscope or other compatible scope. A second SideCar can be used to house an image automation system featuring CapSure® store and forward software for visible light images. GlobalMedia’s TotalExam™ Examination Camera can be mounted on a SideCar along with its retractable cable reel for advanced cable management.
TotalExam works with CapSure to acquire crystal clear digital images that can be safely preserved in DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) format and sent to a patient’s EMR (electronic medical record) or PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), utilizing GlobalMedia’s exclusive CONi Services™ application. “This is another great example of the innovation capabilities of our design team,” said Joel E.
