Fierce Innovation Awards call for entries: Prove your Fierceness

I'm pleased to announce the launch of our second annual Fierce Innovation Awards: Healthcare Edition, which recognizes game-changing health IT solutions that enable safer, more cost-effective care. Our awards program gives health IT vendors the unique opportunity to have their solutions reviewed by a panel of hospital and health system CIOs, who judge their overall "Fierceness" in several key areas.

As you know, healthcare decision-makers are often tasked with reviewing an overwhelming number of products before making a confident buying decision. Our program gives vendors a chance to truly differentiate their product and push their winning solution to the top of buyers' consideration lists.

Our judges include a diverse group of U.S. hospital and healthcare system CIOs from top-notch organizations, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic and Rush University Medical Center. They'll rate products that are submitted across 8 distinct categories: Clinical information management, EHRs, data analytics tools and solutions, mobile health solutions, population health management and patient engagement solutions, health information exchange, revenue cycle management and privacy and security solutions.

Applications will be judged on five sets of criteria: Quality of care and patient outcomes, care efficiency, financial impact, market validation and overall Fierceness and innovation. We'll also select three "Best in Show" winners for Fiercest Cost-Saving Solution, Fiercest Engagement Solution and Fiercest New Product or Service.

All of our winners will receive industry-wide recognition during a live Webcast and prominent exposure in our Fierce Innovation Report, which will be promoted to more than 170,000 industry readers across FierceHealthITFierceMobileHealthcare, FierceHealthcare and their related publications.

Last year's "Best in Show" winners included:

  • QPID, Inc.'s clinical information management solution, which "helps turn the mass of data that is collected into actionable information for caregivers," according to our judges
  • NexJ Systems Inc.'s patient engagement solution, which our judges deemed "a good use of technology to improve patient engagement"
  • Health Catalyst's data analytics solution, which our judges found to be a "smart concept"
  • CoverMyMeds' HIE solution, which our judges called a "great application"

Does your solution have what it takes to impress our judges? Is it Fierce enough to rise above your competitors and capture our judges' attention and respect? Throw your hat in the ring to find out.

Our application deadline is Friday, October 17. We hope to review your entry soon!

Sincerely,
