AirStrip Becomes First Medical Device Mobility Solution to Receive DIACAP Certification from U.S. Air Force

AirStrip

is now the only mHealth solution for medical device mobility certified to comply with the security requirements by the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) by the United States Air Force.

The DIACAP certification ensures that AirStrip applications incorporate the levels of authentication and encryption necessary for use in United States government organizations, and allows them to be installed on Department of Defense (DoD) networks. DIACAP is a standardized methodology for evaluating the security posture of DoD information systems which, when successful, provides system certification and accreditation. The recently-issued Authorization to Operate (ATO) letter allows AirStrip solutions to be deployed at any Air Force Military Treatment Facility.

“DIACAP certification serves as further independent validation of the trustworthiness of AirStrip’s patent-protected, FDA-cleared and HIPAA-compliant technology, employing the most stringent security standards,” said. “AirStrip is raising the bar in enterprise-wide clinical mobility, both functionally and with the strength of the AirStrip ONE platform. The DIACAP certification will enable a wide variety of collaborative mobility efforts with the federal government.”

DIACAP certification is the latest in a series of firsts for AirStrip:

AirStrip solutions support HIPAA compliance and are CE marked for sale in Europe and other international markets, and are currently in use by more than 350 hospitals and health systems in the United States.
