Incredible Health, a career marketplace for nurses, has expanded its platform with new features to speed up hiring for permanent, high-demand roles.
The update includes a section called Spotlight Jobs, intended for the highest-priority roles that health systems want to fill. Recruiters can then view candidates that match these roles. With this feature, hiring is 76% faster, the company claims.
The listings can be rotated as priorities shift at a given health system. Meanwhile, Direct Connect will target roles matching nurses’ skills, interests and values. If they are a match, nurses get a guaranteed interview with a prospective employer. Nurses using this feature are 8x more likely to accept job offers, according to Incredible Health.
As hospitals continue to try to scale, it is important to fill high-demand roles crucial to care delivery and revenue generation. These high-demand permanent roles can be the hardest to fill, the company argues, but reducing reliance on contract and temporary labor can unlock opportunities to instead invest elsewhere, like in technology and facilities. Disrupting traditionally slow, outdated hiring processes for nurses and hospitals is what the company is all about, Iman Abuzeid, M.D., CEO and co-founder of Incredible Health, told Fierce Healthcare.
“The U.S. population continues to grow, continues to age, which is putting more and more demand on the healthcare system,” Abuzeid said.
Incredible Health collects a vast array of data points from its users to make matches, from geography to specialty to education levels and beyond. It reaches more than 1 million nurses across the U.S., enabling hospitals to apply directly to nurse candidates, rather than the other way around. It has found its retention rates are 15% better than a hospital’s baseline at the 1-year mark.
“Our network of one million nurses actually skews a little more experienced, and usually more experienced nurses tend to stick around longer,” Abuzeid said.
Health systems including Johns Hopkins, Cedars Sinai, Tenet, Ascenscion, NYU Langone and RWJBarnabas Health are among the more than 1,500 hospitals using the platform. The company boasts that it facilitates the hiring of permanent nurses in 20 days or less, saving an average of $5 million per year per facility.
Incredible Health went big on generative AI in late 2023, launching a free resume generator to help users streamline their job search.
“We’re big believers in generative AI so we’ve really invested heavily into adding generative AI into the platform,” Abuzeid said.
The generator, available in the mobile app, helps create a high-quality resume optimized to showcase a candidate’s skills and helps match them with roles that meet their criteria. It also launched a feature for health systems to personalize outreach messages to candidates that highlight a role’s perks and benefits.
This helps them differentiate from competitors, Abuzeid said, leading to a 20% increase in nurses accepting interview requests on the platform.
