Whistleblowers to gain $60M

The lawsuit that led to the St. Barnabas settlement was originally brought by a group of whistleblowers including a hospital consultant from New Jersey and a Pennsylvania hospital administrator. Under federal law designed to encourage employees to turn in wrongdoers, the group will collect a very hefty reward. The three will share a payoff of 15 to 20 percent of the total payout--about $60 million.
