Unibased Debuts Significant Upgrade for Physician Order Management with Release of ForSite2020® Fax Order Collection Utili

CHESTERFIELD, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (Unibased) announced today the release of Fax Order Collection Utilization & Storage (FOCUS), a unique order management solution designed to automate and improve the current process of faxed physician orders. Part of the award-winning ForSite2020® offering, Unibased’s FOCUS streamlines the traditional faxed order process by collecting and electronically monitoring, sorting, categorizing, distributing and scheduling all faxed physician orders in one integrated system, eliminating the hassle of lost or missing orders and increasing efficiency – for enhanced coordination of care and patient/physician satisfaction. FOCUS allows hospitals to maintain control while reducing labor and lost revenues associated with searching for missing physician orders by simplifying the process with total automation.

“Organizations which have the foresight and vision for improvements in revenue cycle management will note that the vast majority of physician orders for outpatient services still arrive in facsimile form. FOCUS will allow structured productivity in managing, tracking and processing faxed data,” stated Lawrence Covington, Unibased President & CEO.

Jay Christensen, Unibased Director & Product Manager of Technology & Special Projects, added, “FOCUS addresses the physician order collection and tracking aspect of the access management portion of the revenue cycle; supporting scheduling, registration and payment for major providers. It represents a significant upgrade to the alternative provided by Unibased over the years, and minimizes interface issues with multiple disparate physician office systems. It is totally integrated with Unibased’s POCET physician portal and RMS enterprise scheduling, of our ForSite2020® series. Hospitals will benefit by saved labor, reduction of lost or incomplete orders, and improved physician relations and consumer satisfaction. The elapsed process time of a faxed order to scheduling services will be in seconds.”
