UC Health Expands Use of Streamline Health Solutions Across the Health System

Leading Health System Adds Streamline Health's Solutions in Three Additional Healthcare Facilities for Enterprise-Wide Access to Complete Patient Information

CINCINNATI, Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Streamline Health Solutions, Inc. (NasdaqCM: STRM), a leading provider of enterprise content management and business analytics solutions for healthcare organizations, today announced that UC Health, a national leader in healthcare and a long-term Streamline Health client, has signed an agreement to expand its use of Streamline Health's solutions into three facilities. The facilities will also integrate Streamline Health's solutions with the system's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system through Streamline Health's Integration Suite for Epic EMR.

UC Health has successfully used Streamline Health's AccessAnyWare® content management system and HIM Suite workflows in its flagship facility, University Hospital, and in its newest hospital, West Chester Hospital. The system has contracted to expand the use of AccessAnyWare into three additional facilities: University of Cincinnati Physicians, Cincinnati's largest and most distinguished group of board-certified physicians practicing in every medical and surgical specialty; the Drake Center, the region's premier provider of long-term acute care; and the University Pointe Surgical Hospital, focused exclusively on inpatient and outpatient surgeries.

By utilizing AccessAnyWare across the healthcare enterprise, UC Health facilities will now be able to move away from a paper-based medical record to an electronic record that can integrate seamlessly with the EMR system. This will allow physicians and other staff to securely and quickly access complete patient information from virtually anywhere within the health system.

"Our solutions are designed to work enterprise-wide and UC Health's expansion of our solutions across the enterprise proves their value to our long-term clients," said Robert E. Watson, president and chief executive officer of Streamline Health. "Today's healthcare systems are increasingly made up of hospitals, ambulatory care centers, physician practices, and other healthcare facilities, making the need for enterprise solutions like ours even greater. We are happy UC Health has continued its partnership with our Company and has expanded its use of our solutions."

"Ensuring that every one of our physicians and members of our staff has electronic access to up-to-date and complete patient information at all times is a major advancement for our health system," said Jay Brown, chief information officer, UC Health. "Solutions like these are an important part of offering the highest quality, state-of-the-art medical treatment and care, and we're excited to be able to expand our use of them enterprise-wide."
