Tenet Reaches Agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) today announced that a subsidiary has entered into a new agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia effective July 1, 2010. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The new agreement covers Tenet’s five acute care hospitals in Georgia (Atlanta Medical Center, North Fulton Hospital, South Fulton Medical Center, Spalding Regional Medical Center and Sylvan Grove Hospital) as well as freestanding outpatient centers. Tenet Physicians, Inc., which contracts for physicians employed by various Tenet subsidiaries, also is part of the new agreement.
