SSI's ClickON® RADs Achieves AHA RACTrac Compatibility

MOBILE, Ala., Dec. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- SSI announced today that its ClickON® RADs has been deemed RACTrac compatible by the American Hospital Association (AHA). ClickON® RADs, SSI's Recovery Audit Defense system, is a product specifically designed for hospitals dealing with RAC (Recovery Audit Contractor) letters. SSI has customized this solution to best facilitate a user's RAC data submission to the AHA RACTrac survey.

For a RAC management tool to be considered RACTrac compatible, a vendor must include a mechanism, such as a CSV file, designed to aggregate RAC experience data at the hospital level in a manner consistent with AHA RACTrac survey questions.

AHA's RACTrac is a Web-based survey that collects summary-level RAC experience data from hospitals on a quarterly basis for advocacy and educational purposes. AHA developed RACTrac in response to the lack of data and information provided by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the impact of the RAC program on providers. RACTrac findings reveal many valuable insights for both the hospitals that reported the data and the AHA and state hospital associations who can use the information to educate the field and inform CMS and Congress of changes needed to the program.

"We are pleased that ClickON® RADs has achieved compatibility with AHA's RACTrac survey," said Bobby E. Smith, SSI President and Chief Executive Officer. "By including this customization, ClickON® RADs enables customers to submit RAC data to the AHA RACTrac survey with ease."

ClickON® RADs is designed to provide a smooth workflow for accepting RAC requests. This solution allows customers to move RACs through medical records with an ability to scan and attach supporting documents, including 837 and 835 files. The user is then able to fax or mail the response directly to the auditors with the ability to view, reprint and store the RAC responses indefinitely. The system features alerts, which prevent organizations from missing important deadlines, full reporting and enhanced security to restrict access for intended users only. Additionally, ClickON® RADs can be expanded to cover audits from almost any source.
