SPOTLIGHT: TeleDoc lets patients dial-in for appointments

A new service created by a company in Dallas lets people talk to a doctor over the phone and even get prescriptions. TeleDoc bills itself as a "convenience for busy, time crunched people" and as a possible solution for people who lack health insurance. After an initial signup fee, the service costs $4.95 per month and $35 per call. The company says it has licensed doctors on call in every state. Initial feedback on the service from doctors is not entirely positive, however. Many critics are wondering how smart of an idea it is for a doctor to provide a diagnosis for a patient they've never seen in person without an in-person follow-up. Story
