SPOTLIGHT: The place of retail clinics in reform


Given the state's battleground status, it's not surprising to find out that MinuteClinic CEO Michael Howe is out there pitching Boston, MA-area consumers on the benefits of what he's calling "limited-services clinics." (Yes, this is the same animal otherwise known as "retail clinics" or "convenient care clinics" elsewhere.) Howe--OK, most likely Howe's marketing department--is trying to frame retail clinics as an important innovation which can help drive health system reform forward. Editorial
