Physician community site takes on Pfizer sponsorship
When it was founded in September 2006, Sermo.com was intended to be a private place for physicians to discuss industry topics--including drug side effects--without Big Pharma listening in. Since then, the Sermo model has drawn in an active community of about 30,000 physicians. This week, however, Sermo execs agreed to a sponsorship deal with Pfizer.
