Increase seen in prevalence of drug-resistant TB
The CDC and the WHO issued a joint report warning that more cases of drug-resistant TB are turning up at hospitals. Extensively drug resistant TB or XDR-TB, now accounts for at least 6.5 percent of the resistant cases of the lung disease reported at labs worldwide.
