SPOTLIGHT: Hospital CPOE collaborative to market order sets via Zynx

Three major health systems that have jointly developed more than 1,000 clinical order sets are joining with Zynx Health to market the order sets to other providers implementing computerized physician order entry. "CPOE is hard," Dr. Loren Hauck, senior VP and CMO of Adventist Health System, Winter Park, Fla., tells FierceHealthIT. "We want to share our learning and best practices with others that may not be as far along" toward achieving meaningful use of EMRs. Adventist is one of three members of the Care Collaborative, along with Ascension Health and Catholic Healthcare West, that have been working together on standardizing order sets for nearly five years.
