SAVE THE DATE: U.S. Healthcare Experts to Convene at National Conference in California to Deliberate Implementation of Acc

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Leading healthcare experts from across the country will meet in Los Angeles, October 25 - 27, 2010, during the National Accountable Care Organization Congress to discuss implementation of accountable care organizations (ACOs) which have become the centerpiece of federal health reform. The California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG) and the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) are co-producing the conference to provide an unprecedented opportunity to examine accountable care models used here in California in order to implement ACOs throughout the nation.

What:

  The National Accountable Care Organization Congress will take place as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) takes steps to advance Medicare’s creation of ACOs and as many states and private payers work to implement them. Dozens of leading policymakers, experts, and California-based physician groups involved in ACO pilot projects will provide insights for moving forward at this critical point in health care reform.
