A new report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics concluded that both hospital and physician-office employment grew during the month of November. According to the BLS, hospital employment was up 0.2 percent in November, by 7,700 workers, to hit 4.57 million employees. More significantly, hospital employment for the 12 months ending in November grew 112,000, the biggest 12-month increase since the 12 months ending May 2002. Physician-office employment climbed 0.3 percent, 7,100 employees, hitting 2.25 million workers.
