Quality Partners of Rhode Island is Now Healthcentric Advisors

As Organization Becomes National Player, Respected Voice in Health Care Quality & Advancement Realigning Brand with Services, Expertise

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Quality Partners of Rhode Island, a nationally recognized leader in health care quality improvement, today announced that the organization is changing its name to Healthcentric Advisors effective immediately. The name change better aligns the organization’s brand and reputation in the marketplace with the reality of its services and contribution. In addition to the name, a new positioning line was also unveiled: “Advancing Healthcare Quality. Empowering People.

Founded in 1995, Quality Partners of Rhode Island is a successful and respected Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), which it will continue to be going forward. But the organization has also become a nationally recognized, go-to leader in overall health care improvement, hired by both the government and private health care clients to provide strategies, tools and resources to improve the quality of services delivered to patients. Over time, its role has expanded from work within Rhode Island to a wide range of innovative health care improvement initiatives across the nation, including quality improvement, coalition building, culture change, and health information technology.

“During the last 15 years, Quality Partners of Rhode Island has grown to serve clients not only locally, but also around the country, and our expertise, focus and contribution to the health care profession and the overall community have expanded greatly,” said John Keimig, Healthcentric Advisors’ chief executive officer. “As we looked to our future, it became clear that the name that has served us so well for years would no longer be a viable asset, so our Board made the strategic decision to pursue a new name and positioning that can grow with us and continue to create opportunities for our people, our clients and the communities we serve.”

The name “Healthcentric Advisors” was chosen because it presents the person-centered focus of the organization’s mission in a clear, direct manner. “Healthcentric” is unique and memorable name the organization will be able to define itself through communications and direct interaction with key stakeholders.

“We think of our organization as an ‘ingredient brand’ in that Healthcentric Advisors is a key ingredient in the process when it comes to improving the quality of care that citizens receive and have access to,” added Keimig. “We don’t provide direct care – but we partner with providers of direct care locally and nationally to relentlessly improve the quality of health care for patients everywhere and at every level of treatment.”

For the development and deployment of the Healthcentric Advisors name and brand identity, Providence-based brand agency LegionThirteen was engaged as agency-of-record.

“We were careful and methodical throughout the rebranding process, and gathered opinions and input from many of our stakeholders,” added Keimig. “The Board and I also challenged our brand agency to push us and the process to ensure we landed on something that would serve us as the health care world continues its accelerated evolution.”

Within the next 30 days, all communications and marketing materials will be migrated over to the new name and brand standards, including marketing and educational materials. An expanded and improved website is already in place.

“With this change in our name, we begin a new chapter in the history of our organization, and look forward to an exciting future as Healthcentric Advisors,” concluded Keimig.
