PerfectServe Clinician for Android Released, Facilitates Direct Physician-to-Physician Communication and Protects Caller I

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PerfectServe released its first Android application, enabling physicians to contact colleagues, protect their caller ID on patient calls, and view a complete history of their clinical communications.

PerfectServe Clinician for Android is available at no charge to doctors whose hospitals or private practices use the latest version of PerfectServe, the leading physician-based solution for clinical communications.

The Android application gives doctors another way — in addition to its iPhone application, voice and Web interfaces — to access PerfectServe’s network platform.

Nearly 20,000 physicians already use PerfectServe to customize their entire communications process according to their practice workflow and individual contact preferences.

With PerfectServe Clinician for Android, doctors can:

  • Contact colleagues directly without needing phone lists, directories or call schedules — it’s like having the medical staff or group practice in the palm of their hands.
  • Call patients with their privacy protected, since only the physicians’ office IDs will appear on caller ID.
  • View a history of inbound and outbound calls, voice and text messages and pages.

“This is our initial release for the Android, and we will be adding new capabilities, such as call schedule and contact preference management and the ability to change call routing based on status,” said Terry Edwards, chief executive officer of PerfectServe. “Our goal was to create an app for Android that facilitates more doctor-to-doctor communication.”
