Pennsylvania Secretary Cortes to Address Latino Community During 'Cover the Uninsured Week'

Secretary of the Commonwealth Pedro Cortes and George Hoover, deputy insurance commissioner for the CHIP & adultBasic insurance programs, will discuss the growing health insurance crisis facing the Latino Community at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, at the Maria de los Santos Health Center in Philadelphia.

Nine percent of the Latino Community is uninsured and, because of rising health care costs and a struggling economy, that number is likely to rise. "Cover the Uninsured Week" is April 27 - May 3.
