San Gabriel Valley Publication Honors Physicians from 27 Specialty Areas and 26 Hospital Divisions
Pasadena Magazine’s Top Doctors List Includes 137 Physicians from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Pasadena Magazine's sixth annual Top Doctor issue honors 137 physicians from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group, all of whom are on staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The number of physicians recognized in the 2013 edition of the list represents an increase of 46 physicians— 51 percent—from the previous “Top Docs” issue of the magazine in 2012. Many of the physicians hold an academic affiliation with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. The 2013 edition is available now on newsstands.
To develop its list, Pasadena Magazine sent sample ballots to physicians in the medical community announcing the voting process and its secure voting website. Doctors from the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles area voted online for the most esteemed physician in their own specialty areas. The online votes were tabulated and physician credentials were verified by an independent law firm.

The “Top Docs” list includes physicians from 27 specialty areas and 26 clinical divisions at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, including pediatric cancer, orthopaedics, cardiology, ophthalmology, endocrinology and adolescent medicine among others. Check for the physicians who made Pasadena Magazine’s 2013 list and their clinical divisions. Many of these areas were ranked among the best pediatric specialty departments in the United States in the recent U.S. News & World Report survey of best children’s hospitals. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles was ranked fifth in the nation overall and seven of our pediatric specialty areas either matched or exceeded last year’s U.S. News placements. All of the specialties evaluated ranked among the nation’s best.

Many of the “Top Docs” physicians recognized by Pasadena Magazine can be accessed through the hospital’s outpatient center in the San Gabriel Valley, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles—. Just a block north of “Restaurant Row” in Arcadia, off the Huntington Drive exit of the 210 Freeway, this location provides San Gabriel Valley families with access to the same expert physicians who care for children at our nationally renowned main campus, closer to home. Specialty outpatient services offered at this location include allergy and immunology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology-oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), surgery and urology. The center also offers laboratory and radiological services on site.
As the hospital does more to make its award-winning care available to families across the greater Los Angeles area, children can now access our care in other neighborhood locations through two other pediatric outpatient centers, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles— and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles—.
